It comes at no surprise that Electric cars are currently facing problems with their ability to tie into daily 21st century lifestyle.
Take the first electric car. The likes of Apple, which is seeing rumours shone around the web may not know much about pistons and gearboxes, but the big challenge for electric cars is batteries and their ability to last for a particularly long time.
The fortunate thing is, is that battery-powered cars have many advantages: refuelling at home, cheap running costs and no tailpipe emissions to name a few but the market for pure electric vehicles is tiny and at the moment isn’t a area of the market that many manufacturers want to exist in (yet). Expensive batteries make for costly cars, especially when they are manufactured in all parts of the world and shipping costs that entails from that, putting many off the idea of exploring further. .
