Motor Industry Inchcape Share Price Pre-Recession & Post Recession

Inchcape plc is a large corporate organisation operating in a multinational automotive retail and services environment. Their headquarters are based in London but it has operations and offices throughout the globe, totalling 26 countries such as Africa, Asia, Australasia, Europe and South America.

Pre recession, Inchcape was a significantly large organisation on the stock market. Their share price had continued to grow above the fold at an alarming rate where it peaked in May of 2007 at almost £60 per share. Unfortunately when the recession hit a year later, the stock massively fell and took a turn for the worst. This lead to shock and panic which saw the price go as low as £1.77 per share. Since that drastic fall it has slowly been creeping up again following post governmental monetary injections and a slowly growing car manufacturing industry. If you had invested in May 2008 and sold today, you would’ve benefited from septupling your investment. (times by 7)
